Programs

More Than a Class. A Journey.

Orblynx programs are designed to build on one another. A student might begin by building a circuit in middle school and grow into conducting original research, leading a team, or competing with an idea they developed. Through three connected program families, students discover, develop, apply, lead, and launch, building capability and taking on more as they grow.

Students don’t just learn STEM. They use it.

Flagship

STEM Innovation Academy

STEM Innovation Academy is Orblynx’s flagship program and where the student journey begins. Students work with real tools and materials to tackle meaningful, real-world challenges through the engineering design process. They design, build, test, rethink, and rebuild, learning not only how to create solutions, but how to explain their thinking, communicate their ideas, and take pride in what they have built.

Available to students in grades 6–12 through two participation pathways and four innovation areas:

  • Engineering & Intelligent Systems
  • Regenerative Materials & Bioinnovation
  • Human-Centered Design
  • Sustainable Systems & Future Communities

STEM Co-ed

Open enrollment. Same curriculum, same rigor, open to all students.

Future Pathways

Future Pathways builds on the foundation students develop through STEM Innovation Academy. Students apply their technical experience in new ways: communicating ideas, developing solutions, conducting research, taking greater responsibility, and learning how their work connects to people, organizations, and opportunities beyond the classroom.

Entrepreneurship

From idea to something real. Built, tested, and pitched.

Research & Publication

Ask a question, build the evidence, publish the work.

Communication & Public Speaking

Present technical work clearly, and hold the room while doing it.

Leadership & Internship

Lead project teams, mentor younger participants, step into real roles.

Challenges & Competitions

Where students launch what they have learned into action. They bring together technical skill, communication, creativity, and leadership to take on problems with real stakes, including problems in their own community. Teams are selected by Orblynx educators; there is no open registration.

Competitions

Teams identify a need, design a response, build it, and present it. Some challenges end in a judged competition.

Showcases & community solutions

Others become showcases, community solutions, or work that continues beyond the program.

What Students and Parents Say

The most inspiring part was being able to design a project of our own. I liked how much creativity and free will we had to implement any ideas we liked. It was exciting working as a group to build a circuit and craft our design. It changed the way I thought about STEM for the future because now I realize how the process of creating designs work. I realized it is best to find a problem and think of solutions.

7th Grade Student
STEM Innovation Academy

My older son attended Orblynx Academy camp several times, and now my daughter is attending as well. I love how Orblynx Academy gives students the freedom to be creative while encouraging them to create meaningful projects. At the same time, they learn valuable science, technology, engineering, and problem-solving skills in a fun and engaging environment.

Najma Aden
Orblynx Parent

I loved learning new way to build and perfect ideas, and exploring more materials I could use to build things. Yes, I definitely feel way more comfortable and confident in my ability to execute my ideas using things I’ve learnt in this program.

STEM Innovation Lab

My daughter recently completed a fantastic two-week summer program with Orblynx Academy. She gained hands-on experience designing prototypes with eco-friendly materials and thoroughly enjoyed an educational tour of Amazon HQ2. It was a deeply enriching experience, and I highly recommend this program to middle and high school students.

Rama Atluri
Orblynx Parent

I loved how it all incorporates critical thinking, communicating, and real world problems all in one program.

My child loved attending this camp. The best camp she attended so far as she used to look forward to go back to the camp every night. That speaks a lot how well organized and creative the camp was.

Risham Raja
Orblynx Parent

My daughter was thrilled to return to camp each day, eager to discover new things and create exciting projects.

Kayla Urban

Orblynx Academy provides excellent quality camps and programs for students who are at an age where they are itching for freedom but still need structure. If your child likes to experiment and enjoys hands on science, this is the program for you!

Neremaan Q.
Orblynx Parent

The Summer STEM program was an amazing experience for Addy. She loved that it combined her two favorite subjects, science and art, in such a creative and engaging way. Learning about biodegradable materials and using them in hands-on artistic projects sparked her curiosity and excitement every day. The program was well organized, inspiring, and made learning both meaningful and fun. We would highly recommend it to other families!
